The Hirschman Mutes Pro Edge Pixie, a.k.a. "PEP" mute, is named in honor of the great Duke Ellington who often harmonized two plunger/pixie muted trumpets and a trombone into what was called a "pep section." With over 2 years of R&D, we humbly submit that this is the best Pixie mute ever made.
